The story telling is done tongue in cheek, the readers are privy to the lies, manipulations, and political maneuvering getting an overall picture of what is happening

Mr. Zguda was considered a threat by the regime, he was not Jewish but was considered a political threat. An athlete with good connections, he managed to survive three years in Auschwitz and Buchenwald.
What To Do About The Solomons takes place in a supposedly socialistic society, there is still the matter of inheritance whether they live in a kibbutz or not.
Mr. Coulson balances the book with stories from his past, his career in the FBI and the development of the HRT (a part I found absolutely captivating).
The narrative provides action throughout the book, which is peppered with very funny moments many of them courtesy of Office Hsu’s inner monologue
Monticello is a well written and meticulously researched book told from the point of view on Martha
I enjoyed the mythology which the writer incorporated in the first story, actually is based very much on mythology.
The characters, they are complex and three dimensional, as I mentioned none are “good” and none are “evil”, but complex human beings trying to stay alive and working for their own best interest.
A Chain of Thunder (Civil War: 1861-1865, Western Theater #2) by Jeff Shaara takes place in and around Vicksburg, Mississippi during the American Civil War.
