This title presents Harley and The Joker in their teenage incarnation. A strange choice for criminal characters in an abusive relationship in a YA focused book.

Harley Quinn Vol. 3: Red Meat is a graphic novel featuring all the action, comedy, and even drama one would expect from the title psycho anti-hero and friends

I enjoyed the stories were the fourth wall is being broken and Harley is out in the real world, my favorite was the story where she goes to Comic-Con, it was very funny and I’m sure there were many gags I didn’t even get (bonus points for including Bruce Timm and Paul Dini).

I liked Harley Quinn in her debut in Batman: The Animated Series, one of the few characters in comics who transitioned well from TV to comic books (and not the other way around). She has become an iconic character and, no disrespect to Margot Robbie’s excellent interpretation of the character in Suicide Squad, all the fans probably hear the voice of actress Arleen Sorkin in their heads.

It’s silly, insane, jumps around, and makes little sense especially if you read the first book. If you didn’t read Gideon the Ninth, I suggest you do, if you did – brush up on it before starting this one. The narration in this book is so unreliable that it doesn’t only alters what Harrow remembers, but attempts to alter what the reader remembers as well.
