Thoughts:
In Lost in Kandahar by Alex Berenson the author shares what he saw while spending time with the fine young men and women of the 101st Airborne Division. Mr. Berenson is a fine novelist, and his descriptions of places, events and personnel are vivid and mesmerizing.

This is an entertaining book and Mr. Berenson certainly did his homework and knows his facts. The book shows a perspective of the war we usually don’t see in the media, too bad it’s so short.

The book captures the mood of deployment in Kandahar, focusing on the average soldier and is well worth the cover price.
