I did not know what to expect, I knew it wouldn’t be a magnificent piece of literature, but I have heard many positive reviews and several bad ones.

While I’m not much of a fantasy reader, I do love the movies. I thought the Lord of the Ring trilogy was fantastic even though I couldn’t get past 150 pages in the book itself. Elias Canetti (25 July, 1905 – 14 August, 1994) was a novelist, non-fiction writer, memoirist and playwright. Mr. Elias was born in Bulgaria, but is known as a Swiss and British novelist. A 14th Century book is found hidden in a wall in a monastery, inside it there is a map which points to a cave filled with outstanding paintings on its walls. The book is sent to Paris for restoration where Hugo Pineau, a literary historian, enlists the help of Luc Simard, an archaeologist to find the cave.
