Louis Auchincloss (27 September, 1917 – 26 January, 2010) was an American novelist, lawyer, historian and essayist. Most of Mr. Auchincloss ‘books explore the private lives of the upper class (bankers, Wall St., lawyers, etc.) on the East Coast.
