The Lame Best of 2012 List

December 31, 2012

I was lucky enough to read many good books this year. I could not narrow it down to just ten of fifteen, it simply seemed unfair, too hard and frankly, not much fun. You’ll notice the list includes some classics, some older books as well as new ones; self-published indie books as well as ones by major publishing powerhouses; fiction, non-fiction and everything in between including a children’s book. Basically a list of books I read this year, not necessarily those that were published in 2012.

So without further ado…

I love how varied your list is – I’ve got some new book ideas from it 🙂

You already know that I loved The Dispatcher, and there are a few other books on your list that I want to read. I really want The Guest of Honor, and plan on getting my grubby hands on it in the next year. Have a great new year!

Many good books there, and some I want to look at more closely. I don’t think there’s any reason to limit yourself to ten best books if you’ve read more that are excellent. Thanks for sharing your picks with us!

I love best of lists! I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve read none of the titles on either of your lists. Shame on me. Happy new year!

I haven’t read any of them either! I have had Hope: A Tragedy in mind for a while (or it comes to mind again whenever I see it mentioned). Also the 100 Year Old Man etc., Hugo Cabret, and the Carlos Ruiz Zafon!

I’m listening to the Rockefeller book right now and it is intriguing. I like the sound of the Jonasson book – have to check it out. Happy New Year!
