Allen Tate (19 November, 1899 – 9 February, 1979) was a social commentator, poet, and Poet Laureate of the United States, born in Winchester, Kentucky
As a faculty member at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio he founded the Kenyon Review and was its editor until he retired.
Mrs. Robinson was charged to allegedly changed the grades to conform with standardized testing, & circumstances caused public schools to be considered failures
The book is not only a memoir, but a commentary about the life in a small southern town circa the 1920s. A town where almost everyone never even saw a Jew nevertheless interacted with one.
