I find the behind-the-scenes information fascinating, it amazes me what it takes for a movie. The narrative is entertaining as well as informative
True Believer: The Rise and Fall of Stan Lee by Abraham Riesman is a biography of the famous writer, editor, imagineer, cameo star, & Marvel Comics spokesperson
This is a short biography on one of the most influential men in American pop-culture, and a true American success story. The book tries to tie Stan Lee’s stories and ideas to Jewish culture and Jewish religious book, some of the passages are a stretch, but all of them are interesting and show an understanding of the author of the characters he created.

While I always enjoy the Wolverine graphic novels, I do find them absurd when there is a ninja hiding behind every corner (don’t you hate that?).

I really enjoyed the backstory of Bucky, the writer made him much more of a badass than what I imagined (Bucky, not the Winter Soldier).

Paco Medina (Illustrator), Freddie Williams (Illustrator) is another comic my daughter brought home from school, which looked like fun. As I mentioned before, I try to read the books my kids get assigned at school, or read for pleasure (Twilight excluded), so we’ll be able to discuss and help with their school work. The creators of this comic had some work to do. Star-Lord, star of the live action movie (portrayed by Chris Pratt) is well known to ever fan, but the comic book version is different, yet has to have some similarities in case fans of the movie picked up the issue. The creators did a…
