Despite a seemingly complex plot, involving many characters & financial crimes, I found it easy to follow & am looking forward to see if it is part of a series

The premise of Work the System is simple: cut down complex jobs to manageable tasks and work those, it is applicable to almost every industry, and life itself.

The book goes back and forth between the author’s personal account, a look at the jaw dropping corruption which happened on a local level, as well as national, and even worldwide, implications

The book gives the reader much insight into Apple’s senior executives and the team that has been responsible for its continued success after Steve Jobs.

This is a well rounded book, certainly not the end all financial bible, but certainly a very helpful guide and full of good ideas and approaches

The Lies About Money: Why You Need to Own the Portfolio of the Future by Ric Edelman is a finance book offering insights to investors who are schmos like me

The book gives a good overview of capitalism from the point of view of the crisis that happens every once in a while, before and after reforms.

Mr. Spangler talks about the structure of the funds, the operations of both private equity and hedge funds, as well as their role in the 2008 financial crisis

The advice is mostly conservative and sensible.Avoid excess, budget, don’t take on too much, or any, debt and, of course, live within your means.
