My beloved wife, may she live a long life, let me have something unheard of in the annals of marriage with children – an hour to myself at the bookstore (while she went shopping). I had a very relaxing 90 minutes – as any parent knows, a gift from heaven. I spent it in Barnes and Noble with a cup of coffee and a cozy book while blissfully ignoring (and being ignored by) the “commoners”.

Ha! Too funny :D
I'm sure that 'The Smurfs' books are dramatic...in their own way! This made my giggle...

Oh, I'm jealous. I can't remember the last time I got 90 seconds alone in a bookstore let alone 90 minutes. Wow, that would be heaven.
Too funny that the smurfs qualify as drama these days.
That's hilarious! And glad you got to enjoy your bookstore trip!
Hysterical! Thanks for sharing, that's great!
Hilarious! Meanwhile, 90 mins in a book store sans children - sigh I dream!!!
LOL! You have to wonder what they were thinking. Someday I hope to have uninterrupted book browsing time myself. Maybe once my little guy goes off to college?
Thanks for the comment Che. Actually the employee told me that the book is not misplaced, it's just that the "Drama" section ends half way in.
Oh I dream of 90 minutes alone LOL - glad you enjoyed the time!
