Thoughts:
I really enjoyed Hawkeye, Vol. 1: My Life as a Weapon and was waiting for a slow weekend (as if there is one) to catch up on the series. I love that the creative team took a generic superhero and turned him into something fun and interesting.

The team wrote a pop-culture book, in pop-culture style of both writing and art, which delivers on all the small details. This is a generic superhero book, but a funny, warm and very different.

Hawkeye, Vol. 2: Little Hits by Matt Fraction and David Aja (Illustrated by Javier Pulido, Steve Lieber, Francesco Francavilla, and Jesse Hamm) is a bit slower than the first one, which is only appropriate since Hawkeye lives a slower life than the rest of The Avengers. Hawkeye’s life is also tougher than the rest of his super-team, and this graphic novel show why and how, but it also drives home the point that one does not need super powers to be a hero.

The art, like the story, is simple and dynamic which works on several level. The art helps the layered story unfold itself, it combines itself with the text masterfully and manages to pull it off.

This graphic novel is just a lot of fun, with cool action. The best parts of the graphic novel are the banter among the characters, even between Hawkeye and his dog.

Synopsis:
