Thoughts:

God & Churchill, How the Great Leader’s Sense of Divine Destiny Changed his Troubled World and Offers Hope for Ours by Jonathan Sandys and Wallace Henley is an interesting book about a complex man. The book touches mainly on one aspect of Winston Churchill, his relationship with G-d and how it affected his leadership and decision making.

Mr. Churchill had to have had great resolve and confidence during the time he led the English people. The book attempts to explain his inner strength which helped him during some of the darkest days the world has ever known.

Mr. Churchill’s leadership qualities are also touched upon in, what I believe, is the most interesting part of the book. The author’s give insight into Mr. Churchill’s leadership as oppose to his Hun nemesis in Berlin, leaders of the time who lacked a backbone, or current leaders.

This is a dense book, but not very long at around 210 pages or so (with lots of source material accreditation), the material is divided into 14 chapters. Mr. Sandys, who teaches people about his great-grandfather and became a scholar in his own right, shows us the humanity in a man which we otherwise will think of as flawless.
