Review: Comics on Kndle Fire HDX

My beloved wife bought me a Kindle HDX for my birthday last month. I’ve been holding on to my nook for a while, but to be honest, I’m enjoying the Kindle much more. I knew I’d eventually get a Kindle for a while and have been buying eBooks on special deals knowing I’d eventually read them. One of my first purchases on an eReader was a comic book and to say that I was disappointed would be an understatement. However, Amazon had a Batman comic for free, which I immediately got just to see if technology has improved.

It has improved!!!

Kindle Fire HDX’s comic books are much like Comixology’s. You can read the comic book page by page (and strain your eyes) or panel by panel, which is great for those who aren’t sure how to read a comic book.  I enjoyed reading the comic book on an eReader very much, something I didn’t think would.

Overall this has been a very positive experience, as oppose to my previous one. It seems that the folks at DC Comics have learned and embraced this new medium of delivering their product. Not only does it make it easier to read, the storyline is clearer and the graphics are wonderful.
