Thoughts:
How do you review a quotes book?

Some quotes are great and useful, some not as much but I cannot review each and every quote. That’s why Quotes Every Man Should Know edited by Nick Mamatas is a challenge to write about.

The book is small, pocket size, so one can put it in the pocket, walk around and use it on demand. Or simply keep it in a convenient place (desk drawer, glove compartment, etc.) to be easily accessible.

In this day and age, where information can go ten times around the world before being verified, it is nice to have some sort of verified resource for information. Actually it is a hobby of mine to piss off my ultra-conservative and ultra-liberal friends who spew propaganda left and right, taking quotes and stories out of context to “prove” their own agenda.

The book itself is divided into logical sections such as Wisdom of the Ages, Inspiration and Action, Politics, and Humor among others. Of course, a whole section dedicated to manly quotes about Women is also included. Many people are quoted in this small book, presidents, artists, philosophers, authors and, a must, Bruce Lee.

This is a little book which, when read in context, can be helpful and funny when needed. I quickly read it, just to know which quotes to reference when needed and am looking forward to using it when needed.
