Thoughts:

I really didn’t know what to expect when I opened up the National Geographic Almanac 2019: Hot New Science – Incredible Photographs – Maps, Facts, Infographics & More, but what a pleasant surprise it was. The book is a treasure trove of knowledge and trivia, all in small chunks, short paragraphs and fantastic pictures.

This book actually came to us right on time. One of our children is participating in the Quiz Bowl and this book is simply perfect for such events. The first day we got it, we flipped through it together and worked through some of the trivia questions throughout the book (each question has a page number where you can find the answer).

As in all of the National Geographic books I’ve gotten so far, the pictures are astounding. I could sit for hours just looking and those pictures, getting immensely jealous at not being able to be in those places myself.

This book is excellent for kids of all ages, there is something in it for everyone. Fabulous pictures and great tidbits of information in small, manageable chunks.
