This is an academic work, interesting but could be dry. The author spends most of the book examining The Sandman series, especially Morpheus’ trip to hell

Gaiman lets the reader do a lot of the imagining, he stays away from overexplaining “how” or even “why” – many things are “just is”.

The delivery by such luminaries as James McAvoy, Kat Dennings, John Lithgow, David Tennant, and Jeffery Wright make this audiobook an event to be heard.

I mostly enjoyed the speeches included in this collection.This is because I can hear him talk in my head and know him to be an excellent writer

Mr. Gaiman is a master of the modern fairytale, abstractly manipulating physics and using legends as histories (“It all depends on how you look at it”)

The simplest way to make sure that we raise literate children is to teach them to read, and to show them that reading is a pleasurable activity. And that means, at its simplest, finding books that they enjoy, giving them access to those books, and letting them read them.
