This was an outstanding ending to the Beartown trilogy of Beartown, and Us Against You. It is difficult to end a popular series, with beloved characters

In a small Swedish town, a bank robbery has taken place. The bank robber is, obviously, not a professional for trying to rob a cashless bank. The robber stumbles into a showing for an apartment, on New Year’s Eve no less, and accidentally turns the incident into a hostage situation.

The story, while sometimes dark and sad, is mostly on an upbeat note, as things seem to come together at some point. Many characters do the honorable things, criminals step up when needed and the town comes together.

This is a tense and ugly story, but it sucks you in.

This is a clever book and the translation is simply brilliant
