A solid book of the Detective Comics series. Batman (Bruce Wayne) teams up with Zatanna, the magician, and the reader gets to view a bit of their history

The story in this graphic novel takes on too much, some stories are simply loosely tied together and are overly complex for what it is. I enjoyed the relationship between Jon and Damian but I think a less bombastic mission/adventure would have played better.

The new character the creative team introduces, Raptor, is one of the better new characters DC Comics came out with in awhile.
