Armchair BEA – Day 3 – Networking
Latest Posts / June 6, 2012

As many book bloggers know, by the end of the week/month/year we end up with tens or even hundreds of books which is impractical to keep and painful to discard of. We all know the warnings about ARCs, but we also all know that to adhere to these warnings is impractical at best. Very few book bloggers that I heard about actually sell their free copies, most do not but that leaves the rest of us with piles of books and an annoyed spouse. I try to give those books away, but I put some thought into it. If I have a friend or a relative who I know will enjoy the book but will never buy it for themselves I try to give it to them. Some of my neighbors are teachers and I donate appropriate books to their classroom libraries and some books I simply give away to appreciative readers. Mainly, however, I donate the books to the library of a 55+ community in which my mother lives in. I am looking for more ways to get involved in the community though. It’s great having a blog but I love the feel of community and knowing people around…
