This was a charming, easy-to-read, lovely story. I read it quickly and enjoyed the story even though I thought most of it was quite predictable
The author’s talent shines through, there are great passages here and there, but I had to trudge through hundreds of pages to find them.
The author did an excellent job pulling off the dual timeline. I was surprise to learn that The Lost Apothecary is her first book
