The Dance Tree by Kiran Millwood Hargrave has a lot going for it, however, I felt that the plot never got going and the ending was anticlimactic.

The book consists of very short chapters, a few pages. At the end of each chapter the author provides recipes which were mentioned in the short passages

I understand that God of Neverland by Gama Ray Martinez is the first of a series, I’m sure the other books are going to be fascinating as well
