Thoughts:
Much like Hawkeye, Vol. 1: My Life as a Weapon and Vol. 2: Little Hits the richness in Hawkeye, Volume 3: L.A. Woman by Matt Fraction (illustrated by Javier Pulido,  Annie Wu & David Aja, lettering by VC’s Clayton Cowles, and colored by Matt Hollingsworth) are the details in the storytelling, not the actual plot.

The art style is growing on me, but I didn’t think this issue was as strong as the other. There were ups and downs, like any book but I’m not sure I understood what the heck was going on in some instances.
Maybe that was the point of the book, the journey Kate makes and not the outcome.

I did enjoy the humor very much, it is funny and touching. Clint’s story though, a regular guy that has to work with superheroes, resonates more with me. While Kate masses up, she’s no the screw up that Clint is when insisting to do things by himself with not help and always feeling second rate next to his co-workers (or girlfriend).

The one think Kate seemed to learn from Clint, or maybe that’s just her and is why they get along / not get along, is doing things the hard way when she could do them far easier, and better, in a different way. I did, however, enjoy the story of an undercover superhero playing an LA private detective.

Synopsis:
Kate Bishop, Hawkeye’s girlfriend who is the new Hawkeye, needs to get away from Clint Barton and New York, so she head to Los Angeles – with the dog. Madame Masque is also in LA, she finds Kate and, of course, tries to kill her (again!!!).
